1)It makes look like you need wine to run oracle on linux wich is not true.
2) For office like apps in linux world we use openoffice, not need wine since for an IT work the ppt's,doc,xls filters are good enought.
3) In support of Linux the article talks about a RH 7.1 that's old and not supported by 9iR2 the laste Oracle Server release, I think that an RHAS 2.1 or ULES 1.0 do a LOT better work than any Windows machine.
4) Oracle supports directly Linux in the Linux distributions mention above what more you want.
and
5)The development of RAC support in Linux is amazing, you can configure a RAC server for 400 USD in hardware.

A not so deep article about a good subject.
