I know what the engineers at CNET think of valgrind--they love it. But what about the rest of you? Any valgrind users out there who want to share their thoughts on how this product helped out in your development projects.
just wanted to throw this out there, and thought this was a good place to do it:

a very highly regarded member of the software community recently pointed out to me alphaWorks' (IBM's) new "Memory Interceptor Library." project home page: http://alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/mil

the library purports to detect leaks (though it doesn't look like it detects invalid accesses, as valgrind does) in existing, compiled C or C++ code (source code of target programs is not necessary).

i have yet to use it, but i thought it might be helpful to those interested in valgrind. if you do use it (or already have), please feel free to post your comments; i know i'd be interested in reading them, and i'm sure others would, too.

thanks,
