So we know how much work it is to make it really pretty-printable.

Our desktop product, ExpensAble, uses xslt/xsltc to generate PDF, HTML or XML-SS (MS Excel) reports from an expense envelope. We chose this route to create a multitude of reports from a single XML document and to allow technical savvy clients a way to customize or build their own reports.
