In your example of using jsp:doBody, I'm guessing you meant jspContext.getAttribute rather than pageContext.getAttribute

pageContext is a JspContext object - so it works just fine either way.

how could we get object from the parenttag in inner tag using tag files jsp2.0 concept only.
