Hi,
The company I work for is moving from Novel NDS to Microsoft AD. We have hundreds of users, hundreds of security groups and hundreds upon hundreds of shared folders.
The way Novel handle the security permissions on these shares is much easier than in Windows. In Novel, it is enough to set a security permission to specific folder and Novel will automatically set the proper permissions to the entire folder tree to allow the user to access the desired folder.
Are there any software that preforms a similar function in Windows environments?
Thanks

Does a Windows Shared Folder Permission administration software exists?

The built-in Windows Active Directory MMC admin tools work well.
Note that there are TONS of third-party AD tools, such as:
SystemTools Hyena
ManageEngine
Quest
BindView
etc.
