I think your configuration is wrong
Just pointing out something:

ip address 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

Is a subnet number itself and not an actual IP. This would fail to work on any platform when attempting to configure. Neither the subnet number or the broadcast number can be used as an Interface IP.
