More friendly to non-US users - please
Why does Word ignore the Windows Region setting & load US English as the default spell-checker everytime we use it ?

Users often don't have time to reset it & hence Auto-Correct produces miss-spellings - e.g. here:

- color should be colour
- defense s/be defence
- 11/25 s/be 25/11

Excel has a similar problem - dates in reports from local programs, sent to Excel, show as US format (mm/dd/yy) for the 1st to the 12th of each month & in the correct (UK) format (dd/mm/yy) for the rest - v. annoying.
