Do you think UAC will help keep your organization more secure or do you think it'll just get in your way? Do you plan to increase or decrease UAC's restrictiveness?
but until then, UAC has cause untold # of user complaints in our environment. We didn't tweek UAC and programs that use to run now required UAC approval every time the user launched it. We were swamped the first couple of days after upgrading to Vista Business.
Now that we have it tweeked where users launch a program and it runs without prompting for an ok, everything has calmed down. What we found was that unauthorized software doesn't get on the system like it used to.

I'm amazed at how often there are exactly 10 critical items to know about technical issues.
The Administrator account is different than being a member of the local Administrators group - even though the Administrator account is also a member. The Admin account is not subject to UAC and the account is disabled by default. I have also read that you cannot use it as a "Superuser" account unless you first disable all of the user accounts in the local Administrators group - although I have not found that to be the case. I think there is some confusion about UAC and especially the Administrator account in Vista.
At the college I work at everyone believes they have to have admin rights to everything. We have discussed this with our faculty and staff but it is hard to convince people that they don't need to have those rights all the time. It will be nice when this comes out and we implement it.
