I need windows for computer
Though I certainly wouldn't expect it, wouldn't it be nice if Microsoft had this prepackaged for busy IT people?

Can this be done on a single, multiple hard drive system? Sure would save me a lot of time and trouble!

Thanks and keep up the good work.
What if we only have a regular SP2 from Microsoft. Don't know what a network version means! And when you say "execute this command from another Windows XP workstation." What does that mean? If I have a LAN network of an XP and Vista machine, can I use that system? Thanks
You can skip one step: instead of typing winxpsp2 /x, replace the /x with /integrate:c:\xpsetup, then the unpack and integrate is done in one step.
WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 1 TO UPGRAED WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 2 FILE
RE: command> c:\tempdir\i386\update\update.exe -integrate:c:\xpsetup

for the sp2 update disk use

c:\tempdir\xpsp2.exe -integrate:c:\xpsetup
or just point to wherever xpsp2.exe is

worked for me
Can I assume that the same procedure will work to integrate SP3 with my basic XP Pro DVD? Will I need to do this 3 times, once for SP1, then SP2, then SP3 or does SP 3 contain all previous SP's?
Super
Does it work with and windows installation? e.g. 2003 and vista.
Some of the replies were rather cryptic, and I'm not sure if anyone answered tigerjim49's question about being able to do this with a single system.

if you're asking for yourself, I'd suggest you repost your question to the 'Q&A' page.

If you're asking for tigerjm's benefit, the question was posted over four years ago. If he / she doesn't have an answer by now, it's moot.

Not to mention that it's not worth doing this with SP2 since SP3 has been available for years; or that anyone with an enterprise license can download XP with SP3 already included.
