It would be the BIOS.The "REAL" BIOS program is the Physics of a computer. But wait a minute--why not make the BIOS auto optimizing? The voltages, frequencies, temperatures, and so on would be constantly monitored for a peak performance operation.Even the CPU would have a BIOS.I could get that liquid cooled CPU to really crank!Right now I'm stuck with a very limited BIOS file setting with no help from anybody.
Why didn't they finally make the window resizeable?
You still have to scroll and to resize columns - particularly the command column in Startup.

Now, all they need is a setting to stop asking me if programs can run. I clicked on excel. I know it is a hazard - so is everything else on the box - but I need a spreadsheet, and I lost my copy of visi-calc, so it will have to do. How do you tell vista "Shut up and let me do my job"?
Disabling the UAC (User Account Control) will solve the problem with Vista asking if it is ok to run a program. Of course, the UAC was put there for improved security, so disabling it exposes your machine; turn off at your own risk...
There is a way to control the Vista UAC prompts. Check out Vista Companion at:

Make sure you don't dissable all services or you won't be able to boot into windows, you'll have an expired unactivated product with no phone activation coe and no networking.
I use Windows Vista, and I fool around with my computer a lot. When I went to disable a few services from the startup tab, I always found out that all those executables are enabled after two days or so.
