Do you know people who constantly interrupt you before you can finish what you're saying? Are you sometimes guilty yourself of interrupting other people because you know what they're going to say anyway?

...of interrupting others. I think it comes naturally happy It is not because of I know what they are going to say, it is because of what I want to say needs to be let out fast - in short impulsive sad

I correct myself if I catch doing that.

But, I tend to interrupt because I'm afraid that I'll forget what I wanted to say by the time the speaker finishes. Is it rude to ask a question to try to clarify what the speaker is saying?
I sometimes have no choice but to interrupt them because the convesation starts with topic "A" and veers off into la la land on topic "Z". If you don't stop these people, you can never get a word in or actually feel as if you are participating in a two way conversation. I have been on conference calls where there is always one motormouth who dominates the discussion and never lets anyone else get in a single word or even ask a question to clarify what is being discussed. Such people are worst than those who interrupt others, because such people create those who interrupt others out of a need to slow down the 500 words a minute motormouth.

"Edited to remove all evidence of motormouth behavior...LOL"
Although I am fairly guilty of that at times and am striving to be conscientious of the fine points offered in the discussion, I would like to add that, I find that I now do it more so in more private conversations wherein I wish to eagerly demonstrate to the speaker being deeply in sync with their line of thought or point.
What about the technician that doesn't listen to you and always think that you purposely mess up the computer or printer on purpose when in reality your just trying to find out the problem before calling him.
People always do join your communications cuz theres something they need to say first. Julia Timonina
