Y2K wasn't really over looked. It was more or less a way to get more RAM (if i remember correctly) out of the system. Squeezing in such little code.
I can honestly say that DST is a PAIN IN THE 4$$. I work the DST patches for the Unix end, HPUX, Horrible, Linux tedious and Sun, not so bad. However, it is very time consuming and can have you at the throat of your co-worker when things are going all wrong; and everywhere!
