...actually this post served a vital function...it prompted me to descend into non-productivity and likewise disassemble a dead drive while the rest of the techs looked on. now half the shop is killing time disassembling dead drives. next stop--magnet fun! ("damn the service calls...full screwdrivers ahead!")
