Microsoft's Silverlight and Adobe's Flash may be front runners in the race, but sometimes the underdogs (read = less obscure apps) are more popular. What is your favorite Web application for playing media files?

MPlayer's very good at what it does. I'd rather use a dedicated media player than try to watch video in my browser, generally speaking -- so using MPlayer separately from the browser is the way I prefer to go.

Windows media player sucks... Ack, I mean it sucks up to much resources. Hmmm, I guese my first comment was correct.

The new versions of winamp also suck. But, they were developed after Winamp became a part of AOL. Which, says it all doesn't it.

Quicktime is a cross platform player that does the job quite
well for us.
