It's a big criticism on microsoft by the people who call or think microsoft is money oriented and is more concerned to it. but what's wrong the microsoft is doing ? they made the product and they want to sell it , they want the money out of the product they made. Nobody other that the maker of the product if it's microsoft then it's microsoft who need to set the price of it. Is Microsoft running the business for charity ? Do Microsoft own the reponsibility to make the software for free for the users if yes then on what ground?

if you donn like the product donn buy it , if you donn like the price opt for the competitors. Instead of praying for the fall of microsoft , that because they donn offer their product for free is pretty harsh, imature and irrational. if you dare make your own product , decide your own design, develope products to meet your need by your own. Instead throwing blame words to some one for not doing the work for you.

Look at to many open source products they provide the products for free , but think this way how these organisations are making money to fund there open source products ? they charge for the support at enterprise level good example is fedora enterprise version . No one can afford the products for free for long they need the source of earning some way or other to fund their research , energy behind innovation and thinking.

its a bold and a sincere move to have the society and the community of open source , providing more options to the comsumer end. The options that can be trusted as many of them are very reliable.

but instead of criticising compete , if microsoft need to be killed , kill them by competing rather than pronouncing the ill determined sentences

Expecting the competition between the open source and the closed source to be healthy .
