Sony seems to have been stepping on some patents lately, but is this just the sign of an industrywide flaw in the way we deal with patents? Big corporations typically work out licensing arrangements with each other behind closed doors, but don't always deal as openly with individuals and smaller businesses. How much of this is big business squeezing the little guy and how much is the unrealistic expectations of the patent holders?
