I've posted a list of 14 Web sites that are worth viewing on my Treo:
http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/hiner/?p=487

What Web sites have mobile versions that you'd recommend? What do you think are the best phones and mobile browsers for viewing Web sites?

Mobile websites of merit?
K7AAY Updated - 29th May 2007
Well, Google's new personalized home pages for XHMTL is pretty neat, gives me my iGoogle preferences and RSS feeds, and it links to Google's download pages for their mobile mail client.

My local state Transportation website shows me the traffic flow to ease my commute.

Telcodata lets me see where a caller is calling from .

Fandango lets me buy movie tickets on line, and since my Symbian Smartphone (Nokia 9300) will print to an HP printer by IR or BT, I can print to many contemporary printers wherever I am.

Webscription lets me buy Baen and Tor e-books (no DRM, all formats) on line, for when I'm waiting, on travel, or just need a good read over lunch.

And, Charlie Stross' CONCRETE JUNGLE is just a smashing good read, freeware a la Slashdot-meets-the-Elder_Gods with a bit of Len Deighton spy flavor thrown in for good measure.

An English slant, but I regularly use:

pda.sky.com
bbc.co.uk/mobile
mobile.wunderground.com

And there are lots of portals to mobile sites, the best of which are:

pdaportal.com
pdahomepage.com
http://www.purelymobile.co.uk/

Enjoy!

Another great site is this

http://www.todaypda.com/

It contains a huge database with television, webcam and radio video for pda mobile.

Here are a couple of my Palm-optimized favorites:

ESPN Mobile: wirelessproxy.espn.go.com/
This is good for those fantasy sports aficionados who can't stand being away from real-time stats updates

ESPN Soccernet Mobile: epl.sportev.com
Same idea, just focused on soccer exclusively

UPS Wireless

The Frog portal site has a bunch of mobile-friendly sites and you can customize it with your favorites.

www.getfrog.com

I like the Frog TV because it works with my Windows Mobile 2003 SE.

Also my favorite weather site is

Finally! Thanks a lot, I too have had this same kind of problem. I work for the US Gov and travel a LOT, and need to stay in touch all the time. I found I was spending a lot of time trying to get to the site for the information I was seeking. I have added your findings.
Thanks a lot. Chris

GMAIL
Hamish_NZ Updated - 30th May 2007
I know you included google products as particularly good, but I just wanted to say that GMails Java client for mobile phones is excellent. You get most of the functionality of GMail and it's quicker than the web interface..

(yeah, not a website, but still :D)
It's sort of related, but another massive tip if you are paying for your mobile Internet by the Mb is to use Opera Mini.
It compresses pages before sending them to you, and thus slashes your bandwidth usage.

It does render some pages improperly, but you can always fall back to your usual browser for those.

You can download it from www.operamini.com either on your phone or via your PC.

This is a real moneysaver!

I tried it on my Treo 700p but it doesn't want to play nice.

I have several that I use to start my day
the home page ofcourse which includes all the above that was mentioned but also music portals radioIo, funwithmobile.
Forgive the lack of URL's but I indeed use my treo online more than my home pc or work pc.
