Unable to change ip address using administrator account

Hi,
Currently i am trying to change the ip address but when i click properties so that i could change it pops an error that 'you don't have sufficient priviledges - contact administrator' yet i have logged in with the administrator account. I am using windows 7. Has everyone ever experienced this?
Hi every body!

i have a Laptop. in this, there are two account: one is administrator, one limited user. So i want to use it on two places (my office and at my home). Because at my offce use static IP, at home use dynamic IP. I want to use limitted account for two places so i have to change IP address, i do not want to switch User, i need a solution to allow limitted Users change IP address! Can you help me? thank you very much!!!

then perhaps you will get some help!
Either you do it, or have the IT guy at work do it for you. You can create a hardware profile for work using the static IP, and one for home for personal use. When you boot the laptop up, it will ask you which hardware profile you want to use.

You can use Netman software you can store 5 different places with it. By changing place only you can able to change your Ip address

i have a problem to add one computer to a domain.
"i'm getting one error.logon failure:the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer".its a windows XP laptop.
