To this day, I still don't believe Vista is safe. Until MSFT pushes out their first service pack. Don't you agree?
I bought Vista the first day it was out. When I got home, I installed it on a fresh hard drive, only took about 30 minutes, and I have been enjoying it ever since.
The security is flawable, just like anything, but it is definately upgraded from XP SP2, like the article says. I have not seen anything in my experience with Vista that makes me think it is not safe for me to do anything on it that I wouldn't do on XP.
Of course, every user experiences different things, so you might have seen something I just haven't came across. And so... when MSFT releases their first Service Pack, it should be even more secure, reliable, and the lot. But you should understand they put big money and many many years into this, and when they released it, it was going to be secure and reliable, and it has proved to be.

Great article for those of us that support Vista on an ISP level.
