I did not bash Vista. I asked two very specific questions, which you failed to address. I provided the actual example, which you also failed to address.

One of the defenders of Diskeeper says that it does work in the background, which answered one of my questions and rendered the other moot.

No one here suggested that Firefox, which is a browser, would defrag a hard drive. Nor did anyone suggest that Apple would defrag a Vista machine.
