Did you spend extra to get Ultimate? If you did, was it a good deal?

Good Deal?
clendanielc@... 28th Jun 2007
Well I decided to get the whole package. Almost fell for the Bill Gates version. Which is rumored to have free shares in stock. I am disappointed about the extras. I think it was a decision that I might regret in two years. I just wanted to make sure I got the full package of Vista. I preferred XP Pro over XP Home. So Ultimate over Business, Premium, Home.
Too early to say.. Post this question in 2 years.

It has been 9 months since metsfan421 said "Too early to say..."

I still haven't seen the extras. I did receive a bug update to one of the "preinstall" extras but haven't seen anything new since I got my copy installed.

My intention was to keep current with MS offerings, but I might have just wasted $$$ on vaporware. I should have known better, Microsoft has been notorious for selling vaporware since the company was founded, never actually completing any of their OS projects, but instead releasing another incomplete OS version.

I think Microsoft is good software, but the company shouldn't continue to entice us with items that do not, and probably will not, exist.
Ultimate extras is the biggest rip-off perpertrated by MS. They should be shot and burned down.
