A Good Program Would
I would have no problem with Word or anyother software that automatically changed things if the programmers also provided a quick link to the controls panel for the most recent Autoformat to turn off that feature if I did not like it. That's the principle in a book entitled 'Nudge' where your automatically enrolled and have to 'Opt Out'. You get to see the feature, and if you don't like it, you get to Opt Out. As it is, Microsoft sprang the Auto-Format on us and made it hard to figure out what was happening and why. If you don't know how to phrase the question in Words Help you spend hours battling the beast and get frustrated. PC rage (like road rage) follows shortly thereafter.
