I have worked on enterprise equipment for last 7 years and I just took over IT for a small business. One of my first tasks was to clean up the network and establish business policies, now I am working on centralizing IT management via GP etc. I am looking at installing a SBS 2003 R2 server, however I am concerned about having SBS control SQL Server in addition to everything else. In my previous environment I would have build a separate box for SQL or virtualized SQL on a beefy box with a SAN.
I am wondering if SBS has the same licensing rules as Server 2003 in regards to virtualization (ie 1 license, many virtual installs) and if anyone had virtualized an SBS server. MSDN isn't particularly helpful on this and I am waiting for books from Amazon on SBS.

Will allow 4 virtual machines. However, with SBS you will need to purchase an OS license for every v machine running.
