Hi Paul - I have a 22inch LCD from Dell running 1680x1050 res which gives quite a roomy desktop on my home computer. I used to run dual monitors but found a lack of program support caused all sorts of issues, so decided to go big and wide instead.
At work I just use a 17" LCD which is currently serving the purpose.

Hi there, you mentioned that lack of program support caused all sorts of issues? What are the applications you use and in what way?
I generally find it very useful to use my dual setup to display a browser and/or help file on one screen, while I do word processing or programming on my "main" display.
Recently, there was an offer for a Samsung 1680x1050, 20 inch only though, but for just US$220. Was sorely tempted to get it!
Tell me, do you generally resize your windows or just maximize them at full screen resolution?

That's at home. I'm at work so I don't remember the res, it's like 1280x900 or so.
At work I have a 17" crt and a 17" LCD dual setup.
