I switched to Mac over a year ago
Hi all,
Last year I purchase a Powerbook laptop and loved it. I
also purchased a Mac Mini and was fooling around with it
to see if I could make it a server.
I purchased a program ITools (Tenon.com) and to my
surprise it worked great.
The Mac Mini has been running my 70 domain names plus
using php/mysql running 4 job database for over a year
and a half now and has not ever burped.
I back the server up with a device called Lacie - a back up
system that looks like a mac mini and sits below the mac
mini and updates the whole server each night at 2:00 am.
I have run them all Windows NT, Cobalt RAQ 2,3,4,4I, 550
and linux and apache on my own but I really am sold on
the Apple products.
I also now have a 24" Imac and run everything on it. I run
Parallels (parallels.com) on it which allows me to run both
Windows XP and Mac OS X at the same time. Works really
great.
