"BSD, 30 years and still 'failing'"

I think I read that on the BSD website or Fortune-mod displayed it.

Before anyone takes that too seriously; if it's failing so badly, why is it still going strong? And by the same reasoning; if Apple is on the verge of collaps and osX a complete failure then what's with that shinny new osX release due out soon and all those machines that keep walking out of Apple stores?
