There's a kinko's not far from my office but I doubt we would ever consider doing a glossy information pack through them OVER the WEB. I would go down there myself with the document on a thumb drive so I could see that it prints off allright then maybe trust the good people at kinko's to do some binding for me. I don't see this technology taking off without some serious incentive and value adding(like 99.999% gauranteed security).. and a guy coming to deliver my documents in a brief case hand cuffed to his wrist.

I too had some unprintable thoughts when I saw the Kinko's button. How crass of Adobe! And for the price of a few printouts you can buy a cheap laser printer. At least you can remove the button from the toolbar. Open Acrobat Reader and click Tools / Customize Toolbars ... . Scroll down to the section labeled "File Toolbar" and remove the check mark alongside "Send to FedEx Kinko's".By the way, there are some good free alternatives to Adobe Reader. With the apparent bad judgment Adobe is showing, maybe now is the time to consider them. I have been quite happy with "Brava! Reader", and several others are equally capable.

As someone in a very rural location in Europe I fully support the campaign against this FedEx Kinko nonsense.Any external printing capability of this kind is likely to be at least 50 miles from my place; that may seem a trivial distance to US citizens but to me to have to travel that much to get printout is an environmental disaster.I have noticed that button with some surprise and so far have avoided hitting it accidentally. I must try it on some unimportant file to se what would happen. At the very least it must be possible to remove (preferable) or disable the button.
