if you have selected full installation it will install a SQL server express Database, and the service you can start with the command line "net start SQLEXPRESS", and if you have installed other SQL Server 2005, you should write "net start MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS", or by opening the services console and searching it under the name SQL Server.. i hope it will work for you.
