I have tried several of these types of apps in the past. Mostly I have been unimpressed (as it looks like you are too).
Much redundancy, and grouping of not hard to find tasks. But, for someone that is not a tech/programmer, having everything in an easily found location is not a bad idea.
I also agree that many of these dont explain things well.
