there are some of these telco application which are programmed keeping the underlying sparc processor in place. VMware supports Solaris 10 but on Intel(read X86) platform. There are certainly differences between Solaris for Sparc and Solaris for Intel -- else you wouldnt have seperate installables for each of them.
