I, and many others like me, used to replace our high end Palms about every 2 years when the battery would be wearing down. Palm would deliver a much improved display and modestly improved software on about that schedule.

The T3, introduced several years ago, was the last improved Palm. Because of that, most of my friends have abandoned Palm and I installed a 3rd party battery to keep my T3 running.

Palm forgot that it costs 10 times as much to acquire a new customer as to keep an existing one.

It didn't help that they outsourced their technical support to total morons.
