Do you think Microsoft is simply trying to garner more users to its Internet Explorer browser?
if I should groan and fall over, or cheer you on for seeing and taking such a great opportunity...
Besides, I'm a lousy swimmer, you can't kick me off the island...
think I can go as far as saying I loved it....
but coffee did shoot out of my nose when I read it....

Stability is what I'm asking about most. Does it lock up a lot? When it does lock up, does it still take out windows explorer? That's actually why I switched to FireFox. But, I'm starting to get irked with FireFox also. It seems to be blowing chunks a lot on me lately. On a regular basis as a matter of fact.
Just asking.

annoyed with both firefox and IE. Firefox is starting to suffer from performance bloat or something..its not as stable or fast as it use to be...I am currently looking for a new browser.
Takes forever to load and I don't run that many bloody plug ins.
I ended up installing IE 7, and so far it's not bad. But, I was a happy camper when I first loaded FireFox years ago. And now I think it's just as bad as IE 6. So, I'm not getting my hopes up at all on this one.
Oh well, thanks for the followup.

is it really depends on if its on XP or Vista. On XP, its not that much more secure then IE6, but on Vista, it can be set up to run with least priv needed, as well as sandboxed. In which case, on Vista, I would use IE.
As for stability, all web browsers have been about the same to me in terms of crashes, I really can't say this has been a problem. But then I am fairly conservative in my browsing habits.
I have had problems with comnpatibility between several pdf files and some java applications in IE7. And I had to use firefox to download exchange from the MS Open License site, as IE7 did not want to work with their download manager or java apps...
