I would like to mention a problem that some users might encounter and the fix.

If you're using the minisetup option and on 1st boot after reseal you get the error:
"Windows is unable to start because the registry could not be updated. "

use the command
rmdir /s %systemroot%\System32\Microsoft\Protect\S-1-5-18

I am Having that same issue but deleted that folder does not resolve the issue. I have re-installed XP Several time and every time I get the same error. Any one got any ideas.

Thanks for the article! It certainly jogged a few memories! It would be great to read how RIPPREP can be used to distribute these images though and not just using third party tools.
