Not finding "skills being up to date" having anything to do with it. The requirement seems to be MBA (must be asian H1B/immigrant) and under 30. A friend's husband regularly phone screen's beautifully but from the minute they lay eyes on his early 50s face, it's over. I hear this over and over, along with complaints that the Jrs are pumping out code, it just doesn't work. Not surprising when the interview's on language syntax and nothing on design.
