Not sure they're horror
Both are great films, no question. But while FORBIDDEN PLANET has some elements of horror, it's not really a horror film. THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL is pretty much allegorical sci-fi. It's not scary, but it doesn't really try to be.
