Are hard to break. I've been using AMD at home for quite a few years now. At work we use mainly Intel. As you said, it's really a matter of brand preference anymore, vs. a decision based on performance. Chevy/Ford, IE/Firefox, there's an alternative to pretty much everything out there. To each his own, in my humble opinion.
