Hi,

I tried this out and it does work perfectly.

I was just surprised with how long it takes to rebuild a raid array after a disk failure.

On my test PC, although NOT really optimized (i.e. both disks were on the same ATA channel: Master & Slave) it took close to 110 minutes for a 76 GB drive.

Has anyone tested this on a SATA 1 or SATA 2 systems?

Regarding the article, it's a good article and detailed enough.

Just watch out for the typos (e.g. "-detailed" instead of "--detailed" or "-manage" instead of "--manage")

Thanks for the article and continue the good job!

Cheers,

JC

Thanks for the heads up on that. I just noticed Microsoft Word automatically replaces -- with a single dash!
