An easier way
bengtaj 21st Nov 2007
There is a much simpler way to do this, which I have practised for 15 years. Just format that last paragraph as "hidden", and that irritating page will disappear.

However, for those who don?t know how to hide text, this is from MSWord Help:
1. Select the text you want to hide.
2. On the Format menu, click Font, and then click the Font tab.
3. Select the "Hidden" check box.
Note: To view hidden text on the screen, click Show/Hide (?) on the Standard toolbar.

Hidden works except when you're dealing with the last paragraph in the whole document. Then you have to use the font/paragraph squeeze.

This is much simpler, great tip.
I tried the tips in the article and in the feedback and none worked. I have a footer on this page and I'm wondering if that is preventing me from making the blank page disappear.

Anyone else have this problem?
I tried the tips in the article and in the feedback and none worked. BUT!!! I had a section break at bottom of page (used to be multiple pages). When I removed it my unwanted extra page went away. Yay!

Just highlight/select all on that blank page and hit backspace
wow it is great, but just wanted to know how we print email becuae when ever i try to print the email i cant print one page only it change the printer setup properties.
I just went through this problem yesterday and stumbled on the same solution as the one in the article, taking out spaces and reducing the font size. I'll try the hidden format next time! Thanks for all the great ideas!
Great, thanks for that. The extra page thing is a formatting problem which has bugged me for ages. I just tried your solution and it works a treat.
YOU ARE AMAZING!!! IT WORKED. I am using Word 2000. OMG it really worked. I have tried a gazillion times and ways and nothing worked. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

I had tried everything that I could think of and I couldn't remove that extra page to save my life. Thanks so much!
Great tips! It worked for my 2003. Thanks a lot! Great job.

A colleague created a table using basic insert table function, selecting number of row and columns. She had put a title (just simple underlined, no styles/formatting) but when I try to copy it the formatting splits and only the first line of the table appears and the next one is on the next page - there are no page breaks, no strange formatting - PLEASE HELP!

Thank you so much for posting this solution!
I now understand why a second page is created after a table. I used shrink page in Print Preview and I got rid of the blank page. Still, I like your suggestion because it's probably the one to use when my document is more than two pages.
I've encountered this problem numerous times because of the format of my CV. At last, I got an answer that works. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
