CIO roles require great flexiblity. From what I can understand after reading this article, this role needs to be really good at not only managing IT but understanding and utilizing technology to help organization improve sales, production and busines processes and customer service. This role needs to have the vision and capabilities to formulate strategies to help achieve his or her organizations business goels. In addition to serving as a positive role model for co-workers, successful CIO must also be capable of inspiring others to recognize, develop, and apply their talents to their utmost potential to reach a common goal.
