I used to dread going to work, looking at my paycheck, my car, and the place I lived in for a long time. For the most part I had no idea(truly) of how much of that was an internal reflection of myself in the dynamic of life. I had no cluepon, LOL! There were days when everything went smoothly just like your aforementioned situation. And then there were those that were just one big negative ball of !@#$!
I since then found out that it "me" the whole time that mostly dictated how things would turn out for the entire day. If I got up happy, rested, and my needs met then the day was a bright ball of sunshine to be enjoyed. I also evaluated just the opposite were I was grumpy, tired, and none of my goals acheived colored how the rest of the day was going to be carried out. It all depends on YOU. How you view the world changes it's nature. And it is also contagious. Hold on to those positive experiences and want for more. It'll come. The people around you will reflect this and not only give it back to you but will in turn give it to others. Thanks for sharing your great day. Positive stories like this always make me feel better. It's all a part of manifesting good things in your life. Keep it up!

to avoid burnout, I try to enjoy work. I go in rested, have a healthy meal, may crash for 1/2 hr at lunch in my van.
and when I leave I don't 'whew!!'; instead I imagine myself as superhero, who enjoyed a days work now going to relax, which is just as fun.
And I avoid thinking of work. Doesn't mean I avoid computers, but it won't be work related. I think is silly people who won't touch a computer because they have one at work. If you worked for the telephone company, maybe you would never make a call at home?
Also I mix in going places, getting outdoors, etc. And do stuff that interests you outside of work. It makes life worth living, and it makes doing the work at your job which pays for your hobbies worthwhile for that reason.

some days the calls come through with no phone numbers on, wrong addresses and my pet hate, booked on the wrong asset number, so when you get there you haven't called ahead, have the wrong tools or the customer has fixed it themselves and no-one has though to tell me. when you've battled 80 miles through English traffic its no laughing matter
One (generally speaking) cannot control the things or events around him/her, but only how those things are processed and viewed. If you let little things (or big things) ruin your day, it's just that the choice has been made to already have a bad day. If the choice had already been made to have a GOOD day, those same things would't have the same affect on a person.
Which all begs the question, what makes people decide to have bad days? (I've even made such decisions, but I don't know why!)

Next time you are told:
"Have a good day,"
Try:
"You mean,...you mean, there's another kind?"

Other days, however, seem to be working against you. The best thing to remember is to buy the lottery ticket or get into that poker game on the good days!
Very interesting article, Anothony. You've got me hooked up - keep up the nice work!
