IT does change every day, but it doesn't mean that it will go away. Look at the last thirty years. Has IT "gone away" as technology has advanced? I guess if you consider exponential growth "going away," then yes.

IT will change and we will change with it. But people are resourceful, and will come up with new ways to apply their expertise.
