D/n forget the Kaypro, w/ mono screen, two 5.25 floppy drives, running CP/M prior to DOS (not MS), similar to the Compaq (and another famous brand at the time, hardened, whose name escapes me). Cost $2400.00 in 1982 dollars. I took these to work, printing to a Gemini Star dot matrix, and incurring the wrath of the company's IT department, when everything was batch processed overnight, if you had clout. Could get memos, project gantts, et al, out immediately to the team. Ran Wordstar and a spreadsheet, each stored on one floppy.
