At that time Norton Utilities (and then still owned by Peter Norton) were the best tools around! You could scan drives, memory and more. To make the point though it was easy to find and mark bad clusters.

You guys are getting me all misty-eyed.....ahhhh....the good old days of computers where you actually had to know something about how they worked.
