Excel 2007's online help in Excel specifications and limits says that you can have a maximum 32,767 characters in a cell not the 256 the article indicates.

The maximum column width is 255 characters and the same number for characters in a header or footer.
There are 256 colums 65,536 rows and IV is the last colum. There are 255 sheets.
Is it possible to add a line by using "enter" in a text box, or allowing a user to position the curser in a spot to start typing after locking the page? for example, i want to type a line, then enter or arrow down to the next line without having to space space space to get there
