I worked on punched cards in school
Hi Michael,

COBOL, FORTRAN, System/360, Assembler - all standard classes in College. I vividly remember dropping a deck of 80-column punched cards on the way to the lab. Luckily, I had marked them on the side and was able to put them back in order.

I only got to work on mainframes for a few years before moving into the microcomputer world. Twinax on the System/3 could indeed be difficult but then so was Token Ring and early Ethernet on 10Base5 and 10Base2.

Just don't use any of that stuff any more. I like your fine wine analogy. Thanks for the comment.
