It's long past time for the American politicos and corporations to jump all over solar technology. Thanks jstack6 for bringing this one to my attentions!

I know Solar is already lower cost than fossil fuels. When you remove the huge subsidies we all pay for fossil fuels and have for over 30 years and account for the pollution and water use Solar is a clear winner. Some people don't even realize the many forms of solar energy. It covers passive solar like shade and home orientation to active like solar hot water and todays favorite solar electric photo voltaic cells. There is even phanton solar(IE things that use power even when they are off.)Wind and geo-thermal are also solar power. Even plants that grow with photosynthesis are solar powered. The entire universe is a balance of solar energy. Thta is why global warming is a sign we are making it out of balance. Now to really prove it. I have a home with a grid tied solar system I installed in 2001 with no incentives. It has paid for itself already and will continue to pay me for 20-50 more years.
