My thought exactly. The third party software OBVIOUSLY requires the underlying OS, and it is in that interface the mayhem ensues. The OS is just as much a part of it as the app.

I'm sure the Ubuntu box was running flash, right? Why didn't that get compromised exactly the same way as with Vista?
