What about tenure and union complications?
In an educational context, I've heard that it's difficult to get rid of someone that has tenure.
I imagine some work places have such extended probationary periods because, once they hire somebody, they're stuck with him.

Have any unions tried to implement an anti-jerk rule, revoking the tenure of people who make other workers miserable?
