Saw a similar occurence with the plant on top of the overhead cubicle. I was amazed that she didn't electrocute herself while mopping up the run-off.
She explained that she had been doing this (water plant, clean up drips) since she brought the plant in several weeks before killing her monitor.
They walk among us, and even find their way to work.
