years ago, I had an end-user put an extra BNC "tee" on a 10-base 2 network cable with a BNC on one end and a type "F" (TV Cable) on the other end.
He was next door to the break room, and thought the wire would bring all of the cable channels to the break room TV.
Of course "nobody knew nothing... it must have been third shift."
(And if you're not "experienced" (old) enough to know about 10-base 2, when you tee out in a star topology, the entire network goes down. Everything.)
